Does Ed still jump into the crowd....

for the instrumental bit of even flow. I know, I know, it's probably a silly question given that the man is 42 years old, and has been doing the jumping thing for his whole life as far as I've been told. It's just that, the enduring image of Ed for me is this crazy guy, who just loves jumping around and screaming. I was a kid when I first watched the even flow video, and I still think it's one of the coolest videos around. The raw passion and energy. Brilliant!!! I only bring this up coz i'm (hopefully) going to my first PJ concert in Dublin in a few days, and it would be mental if he jumped from the speaker stack into the crowd like he used to do. That takes some amount of balls!!!

In 05 and 06 he seems to like climbing, but he just teases us - he never actually jumps

He walk through the crowed during the 05 south american tour I believe. I have a picture of him with one or two of his body guards singing alive(I think it was during alive) walking through the crowed.

I don't think he crowdsurfs or jumps around anymore, not since Roskilde. He still does interesting stuff onstage, though. At the show I went to near the end he just laid down, lit up a cigarette, and chilled out for awhile. :)

not sure if you could call it jumping, but in Thunder Bay on the 2005 canadian tour he climbed into the crowd behind the stage and sang Last Kiss the whole way through, sitting down with everyone around him being surprisingly polite (eventually).

    proof, hah.

still, seeing Ed just do his thing is brilliant. He's one of the coolest frontmen i know. But then I'm actually telling you guys things you already know. My first PJ gig is only days away and hopefully, he'll surprise me and do something crazy (like jump off the stage!!). Either way it's gonna be great!!

During Even Flow in St. Paul this summer Ed smoked a joint during the solo. Someone threw this joint on stage after he said "Made it to the ocean smoked a joint in a tree." during Given To Fly. It was one of the coolest things I could've seen Ed do.

I think what iamica wrote previously is what's what, though.

the one to watch for the even flow bit!!! Will keep that in mind. Having said that, would still like to see ed jump into the crowd. Having said that, one of my mate's older brothers had his nose broken the last time PJ played in dublin coz ed landed on top of him and his leg connected with his nose. He still loved the gig and said he's have ed land on him any day, in spite of copious blood pouring down his face and clothes.
