Pendulum again?!?! Geez guys you re better than this!!!

How about Wash, Release, Long Road, etc.
Totally agree! This band is known for switching up there set lists. Loose pendulum for a bit! It s a good song but it doesn't need to be played every night in the same spot.
I feel like I make the same point every night ... think of it as mood-setting intro music. The second song is the new "opener." It can literally be anything.

Frankly, I'm not ready to lose Pendulum. I think Pendulum ---> ????? is a pretty awesome way to start a show.
Pendulum is the opener. Call it what you want but it's the opener. It s an awesome way to start but not every damn night!
But what does it matter if they're still playing all the traditional openers in the two hole? You can still get Release, you can still get Wash, you can still get Sometimes, you can still get Long Road, etc.

You just have to adjust your thinking. Pearl Jam is being predictably unpredictable by making the second song the new guessing game.
But you're not always getting the traditional opener in the two hole. Since when has low light and nothing man been traditional openers?
Well the rules of the LB tour then clearly state that in that case, Pendulum is to be considered the actual "opener" and not the "intro music".
Totally agree! It boggles my mind that people say the opener isn't the opener but rather some sort of warm up. Isn't that what sound check is used for?
I don't think I'm explaining this right. Because you're not getting what I'm trying to say.

On previous tours, you didn't *always* get a traditional opener in the one hole, either. Sometimes they actually did open with Lowlight or Nothingman (or Rearviewmirror or Present Tense or Small Town or all kinds of non-traditional shit).

My point is: The playing of Pendulum doesn't preclude you from hearing any other song in the Pearl Jam catalogue. So what does it matter?
