I had the privilege to attend the Cincinnati concert last night, and it was off the f****** hook. I'm in awe of this group, but somehow this awe dims, just a tiny bit, until I get to see Pearl Jam preform live, at that time, and every time, I am reminded that it's truly impossible to 'imagine' Pearl Jam's greatness, you must experience it to feel it's entire volume. Best live group, and best group ever, period........

    first off, the atmosphere outside the US Bank Arena was excitement and anticipation, which was intensified by waiting in a very slow moving line to enter the venue. The venue had only one entrance open only (3 doors), which postponed the show by like an hour. It was announced that Pearl Jam would not start to preform until everyone was in the door. I have pics of the enormous amount of people....

    I'm not sure, wasn't paying attention, I think they played well over 3 hours. It was 12:30 when we got back to our hotel which was 1.3 miles from the venue..

    they played 'Of The Girl", which is one of the songs I was hoping for, and Eddie started Porch with that great, slow melodic intro he does sometimes, I had goose bumps....

    for the entire last encore, they turned off the light show, and turned up the house lights, and we all sang along, Keep On Rockin In The Free World, and Yellow Ledbetter...

    My favorite Eddie line went something like this:

    .....then he's takes a few minutes, and strums his guitar....then he says...

    they manually turned all the risers and instruments around to face the sec directly behind them, and played "Elderly Woman Behind The Counter", they all sat in chairs and played several acoustic songs during the course of the show, but played that one for the rear sections...

    Eddie's voice was like velvet last night, and the band was incredible as always, they seemed excited, happy and in great moods

    Eddie V helicoptered his guitar several times, he also threw one way up above his head seveal times, until he smashed it on to the ground.....classic I loved it

    the performance last night had the feel of Pearl Jam of the early 90's, I felt like I was at one of the shows you watch on youtube, where EV is out of control, and belts out his genius lyrics with full throttle emotion and conviction, yet somehow- effortlessly...

    This is like watching some kind of odd, prolonged and utterly unsatisfying peep show. It ain't even foreplay!

    Not getting the point of a couple random thoughts sans pics as mentioned in the subject, posted minute after minute. Guess there's some MO behind it.

    Sounds like you dug the show though, so...that's good.
