With which album do associate the two Merkin Ball songs with more: Vitalogy or No Code?

I hope the grammar in my question in correct!

This great EP came out smack dab in the middle of these two great records. Do "I Got Shit" and "Long Road" make you thing one song over the other?

I suppose I could options like "both" or "neither" or one song goes with one album while the other song goes with the other album but I didn't want to go over board here - it's my first poll!

    Nice question.
Got to be No Code for me, because of Jack Irons drumming and Off He Goes making me think of Uncle Neil.

yeah Mirrorball- but that is really not Pearl Jam, so if a PJ record I say more of a Vitalogy feel for I got ID, and YIELD for Long Road. I think Long Road has the reflective, inquisitive feel of No Code, but musically not as much. Yleld has a more wide open feel to it that the Music on Long Road has. All that being said, it really is a Mirrorball thing for me as Uncle Neil's guitar sound brings a new dimension not present in either album

I go vitalogy since they played both songs on the 95 tour in support if that album. By the way, please play both in St. Louis

Vitalogy for me, it shows eddie vedders progression as a song writer , and is a pre cursor to no code, which defined pearl jam as 90's survivors.

No Code...can't put my finger on exactly why, but it they just have more of a No Code "feel" to me.

I like the question. Obviously Mirrorball, but it line with the poll, both songs would fit on No Code, but would not fit on Vitalogy. No Code has the same loose open chord type feel as these songs, where as Vitalogy is tighter and more deliberate. My 2 cents.

Allmost positive ed only sang on it. Didn't write any lyrics to it.

For Eddie's Pearl Jam, it'd have to be No Code. The songs are far more introspective than the bulk of material on Vitalogy.
But this EP is and will always be the companion piece to Mirrorball.

both could fit on Vitalogy more than No code. Especially I Got Shit.

No code. They fit better into that album by the way they "feel"
It makes much more sense to live......in the present tense.

Jacks drumming and Neil's influence make them feel very No Code to me.
