Wrenched

Check out the trailer for the new film about Edward Abbey, "Wrenched" here:

This is what activist environmentalism is all about. Abbey was the godfather of the activist movement to preserve wilderness. This is where the term "Monkeywrench" (monkey-wrenching) all started.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

No, sorry rr. Edward Abbey would have hated that song. A friend of Abbey's once told me that one issue Abbey and some of his friends had was Abbey's disdain for popular music. We forgive you, Ed. :-)

However, I'd like to think E.A. would have liked this great song by Tom Russell:

Got this film in the mail yesterday and watched it last night. Can't say enough about it- really well done!

Ok, I know you'll all get sick of me promoting this but just on the off chance... here's where you can support the film and get a copy of this excellent history of Edward Abbey and the conservation movement- where it came from, where it's been and where it's going. It truly is an excellent documentary!
