I challenge Pearl Jam to come up with their best setlist ever for Memphis, play whatever you think would be most awesome, don't worry we fans will love whatever you choose and we will all have fun for 3.5 hours, Memphis has so much musical history, it would be fitting for Pearl Jam to make history October 14th

I was at Charlottesville, PHX and Leeds, and I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a good show. For some reason, they bring it for me.

I was at Phoenix and that was a pretty flawless show, a West Memphis 3 tribute would be awesome since it is only like 10 miles away

I'm right there with ya Hank. PHX is an overlooked gem. Around the Bend, Bee Girl, Hard to Imagine, RITFW with Nils.
I think Elvis effing Presley may make an appearance.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Alone, Red Mosquito, Breath, Whipping should be included in this set.
  • I think that a fourteen year absence absolutely calls for an epic setlist! Red Mosquito, Breath, In My Tree, Who We Are, Getaway, Last Exit, Long Road, Tremor Christ, and Sleight of Hand are on my personal wish list. I got to mark Chloe Dancer, Crown of Thorns, and Footsteps off in St. Louis, but I will gladly take those for a second time in Memphis. :) My ten-year-old really wants Red Mosquito and Wishlist.
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.

Satan's Bed is the thing. Satan's Bed and Parting Ways. Satan's Bed and Parting Ways and Driven to Tears.

they could play the hits, all the hits, and nothing but the hits, and I would still rock.

I second and third the motion. We hear the "hits" and love it but go nuts for the more obscure shit. I was at day 1 of PJ20, couldn't make day 2, and if I had to pick one or the other I would have picked day 1 for sure. I love all PJ songs but the rare ones are what make the night magic.

hell yeah, but also be sweet to bust out the crazy versions of Alive, RVM, Better Man, Porch blow the roof off the place

I said a wile back that I thought the standout shows were gonna be the Cincy tour opener and Memphis because of the music history. Cincy kicked ass and now it's time for Memphis! I CANT WAIT!!

This is all getting me very excited! Does anybody know how early people line up for the GA box office? It's my first time.

  • i've been thinking that Memphis is gonna be 'the' show for months now. a weeknight show, at the birthplace of rock 'n roll, with a strong political significance surrounding the West Memphis 3? the pieces fit together nicely... and not that it matters, but Charlottesville was a tuesday night too. who's going to the preparty?
