Offering 1(and only one) free GA to STL (with a catch)....

Edited to add: I can see how my original post could be unclear. I'm not asking for someone to stand in line for me all day. You get there early, I meet you, we trade off throughout the day til late afternoon, then enjoy show. If someone wants to get there early enough for rail, the ticket's free. Not trying to screw anyone over - this isn't my first GA rodeo and I know some people get intense out there.

I do like the idea of just showing up to the line or pre-party and making someone's day, thanks for that suggestion.
*****

It would appear that I have an extra GA ticket for St. Louis.

I would be willing to give the ticket to someone in exchange for them getting in line early, early Friday morning to get us on the rail. I would come by at some point to relieve you for a couple of hours so you could eat/freshen up/etc. That can all be worked out. I just thought this would be a chance to finally experience the rail and I don't want to spend my whole day waiting in line since I only have a few days to spend back home. (Understand that to protect myself from the unscrupulous, I wouldn't actually hand over the ticket and wrist band until I have permanently joined you in line late that afternoon. I've had great experiences meeting new ticket buddies from this forum and I don't burn fellow fans, so I'll expect the same from you. And as much as I'd love to, can't do any trades this tour, sorry).

I don't really have any criteria in mind and if this violates some sort of ticket etiquette, I'll delete. Just thought I'd throw it out there and see what sort of response I get. I'd like to leave this up for a few days before deciding, since I hate when I missed something because I wasn't checking everyday, but I know people want to get their plans finalized as soon as possible so I don't want to leave anyone hanging.

  • The thing is, you have to BOTH be in line. There's no way the other people in line will let this fly.

I would not want to be the person holding a spot for someone else when they rock up just before doors open and all hell breaks loose haha
  • I wouldn't be waltzing up right before doors open. Like I said above, I'll drop by during the morning and join the person in line in the afternoon.

So you basically want to buy your way to the front of the line for the price of the ticket. Can't imagine this would be allowed or it would set a very bad precedent.

He's not the first, someone else made a similar offer in relation to the Milwaukee gig

Its his ticket and he can give it to whoever he wants. Ive seen people wait in line without tickets at shows hoping for the reverse.

  • Last year in Charlotte I bought a ticket from a board member, waited in line early enough to be on the rail. Around 4 or so the guy showed up, got right in line and we had no issues.
  • Ticket is spoken for, thanks.
