    Why? Didn't snopes confirm it was a hoax? If the idea was self-promotion; getting her name out there...she did a helluva job....snowed a lot of people, including me. I don't think there is anything wrong with playing up/exposing our sensationalist news coverage with a harmless joke...if we're stupid enough to get sucked into a fake controversy by not checking sources and thinking critically....power to her.

    I have to wonder if Fox actually DID do their homework, but ran the story anyway for ratings...the original report does end with 'is she real or putting us on?'

    It's so strange to me the ways some go about garnering attention, and really wasn't SO far-fetched, considering some of the body modifications people get / doctors perform.

    Oh ok :)) gotcha. ya, it's crazy, but I mean...it worked. It's pretty funny, actually....and it wouldn't surprise me if someone actually did do this. What would surprise me is a doctor willing to do it. I wish I'd thought of my scrotum earlobes idea first. Tho 15 minutes of fame wouldn't do enough for my career to justify being slapped in the neck with nuts all day long.
