Anyone else on here get an email from 10C/pearljam.com. On continuing to subscribe to updates from pearljam.com? Looks legit.... wanted to check with everyone first. Cheers in advance

    My guess it's NOT legit because it asks you to go to a page that says
    "Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot" and asks you to click on a "return to Dashboard" button which, I'm very much guessing will give a computer a nasty virus. Sure looks bogus to me!

    I got it and it takes you back to the website after entering email, sends a confirmation link and then takes you back to the website again. Seems legit. Probably just pruning down the list...

    It's legit. It's list management software (MailChimp) for email lists. Lots of companies are asking users to re-opt-in to their subscriptions due to privacy legislation.

    I got something similarly phishy looking from Ames Bros last week, and they confirmed it was legit but this one still gave me pause. Thanks Santos for the confirmation.

    I know it just became a legal obligation to do that in Canada to continue sending mass emails to people. I've therefore been getting tons of those lately from various websites that I subscribe to. Maybe the same thing happened in the US (too lazy to read the thread to know if this has been covered already). :P
