It's kind of cool for U2 to that. I imagine they got a decent sized chunk of cash from Apple to do so (and if that many people get the album for free.. doesn't that give them an automatic #1 album?). On the other hand the world seems polarized when it comes to Apple. Half the people really love Apple product and half the world doesn't. When you make something Apple only, you alienate the other half.
Samsung Galaxy S5 my iPad allowed me to download this album. Say when is this album supposed to be officially released?
Peace

Aside from Bono's voice, it doesn't sound much like classic U2 though....and that's alright.

I love old school U2 but man.... Aside from a few songs here and there, this band has really been irrelevant from a studio sense. I can't wait to see them live agai though, they still bring it.

it's always disappointing to me when people say yeah i listened to it once and found it < perfect.
it's such an easy cop out. there are many albums that i love that i didn't fully connect with after 1st listen but that doesn't stop me from a 2nd/3rd/4th listen. i've shelved some cds for a month or two and then came back to them and tried again. also i spin it in the car or at home or somewhere different to mix up the listening experience. the cds i do get on first listen are easy, but i have also found the ones that require more spins to get can sometimes end up better in the end. if that makes sense. also i've found that sometimes the songs take on a life of their own when played live. so a song that i thought was just OK at first, ended up being fantastic in a live setting. City Of Blinding Lights did that for me.
