The Boss

What is your favorite Springsteen song? (assuming you have one!)
And why?

    Drive All Night
When I was about 23 and heartbroken I would get drunk, put the needle down on The River / Drive All Night, lay down on the floor in front of the speakers and close my eyes.
Sounds sad, but it felt really good at the time.
I still have a soft spot for that song.

NYC Serenade followed closely by Out in the Street.

Incident on 57th street takes the bronze.

Streets of Philadelphia is what first came to mind. In its context, so hard hitting, especially the first time I heard it. The sense of brokenness, of sadness, of where to turn next? Beautiful piece of writing.

My Hometown - just sweetness. Nostalgic sweetness.

Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out for the big man.

Guess I'm more into his older stuff; my old cassette tapes of *edit Born to Run & Darkness were worn out years ago. Not a fan of his poppier music, but yeah...those two albums hit me with their openness and simplicity.

    My City of Ruins
    Streets of Philadelphia
    Jungleland

Hard to pick between these 3.
