Sleater-Kinney 7 LP box set

On October 21st, we here at Sub Pop Records will proudly release Start Together (pre-order), a 3,000-copy, limited-edition deluxe vinyl box set comprised of remastered editions of Sleater-Kinney’s seven studio albums spanning 1995 to 2005. The set will include all seven albums pressed on colored vinyl and is accompanied by a 44-page hardcover book featuring never-before-seen photos of the band, as well as a limited edition print. The remastered albums will be released individually on CD and black vinyl on the same day. All are available digitally today, September 2nd.

    I have 3 of the 7, but this is too good of a price to pass up. I ordered this from Amazon. But maybe I should order this from sub pop for the mp3s.

    i wouldn't gamble on amazon for a limited edition run, especially from sub-pop...

    Normally I'd agree, but there are 3000 of these sets.

    Live on the East Coast but was West last week and drove round trip Seattle->Portland. Had a big party in the car both times we passed the "Sleater-Kinney" exit on I-5, which of course is where they got the name (wasn't their rehearsal space off that exit?). :D

    Drove past The S-K exit a few times last week.

    Think their early rehearsal space was off that exit.

    let us know the difference. i had these all on original pressings, wondering the improvement on sound. they released these individually and then did a second pressing of the box, so if there is marked improvement i might pick some up.

    It sounds really good. I only have OPs of Doctor, Dig and Woods. I think its a nice upgrade on Doctor. Marginal on Dig and I can't tell the difference on Woods.

    Dig sounds just a touch crisper.

    Just picked up the colored version off the Sleater Kinney website. Great deal for $125...Seven 180 gram LPs, 7" with a new song, a big book and print. The Sub Pop website is sold out of the colored version but doing pre-sales for a black version (glad I got the colored version though).

    Nevermind, Sleater Kinney website is now sold out of the colored set. Best bet is to pre-order the black set off Sub Pop.

    So I did something I never do yesterday and ordered off a website I've never heard of. But anyways I ordered this set and then my order said back ordered so i called the company and asked the guy if it was actually backordered and he said yeah its back ordered so I asked him to cance my order and he said no problem. I got off the phone and drove to my local record store which is about 40 minutes away and bought there last copy. I get home and I have an e-mail stating that my order has been shipped from the company that said they cancelled it. So i get on the phone again and this time its some rude woman telling me that I ordered 2 copies and that I only cancelled one. I very obviously did not order 2 copies infact it doesn't even say i ordered 2 copies in my order history. But this lady stated that I did and there was no telling her otherwise. So it looks like I have 2 of these now ha!. Point of the story stick with who's more reliable not who's cheaper. Lesson Learned.
