I heard matt wasnt coming to australia for the soundwave shows in february. Fingers crossed he does and brings the rest of pearl jam with him. Although both the big day outs I went to were awesome I dont count that as a proper pearl jam tour.

I think the band is going to spend some time in the studio working on songs, would not be surprised if there are no new dates until April or possibly longer, unless they decide to play a couple weeks in Asia, if I had to put money on it for 2015, I am predicting some Canadian shows, some Northeastern US shows, possibly The Gorge, and maybe South America/Mexico, and Lollapalooza in Chicago would be great, maybe 24 to 28 shows for 2015

I think next year will look similar to either 2008, or 2014. Either one North American leg (start in Florida, play a festival depending what month, hit a few southeast cities that didnt get Lightning Bolt dates, up to Boston proper, NYC, Toronto and Montreal) or this NA leg with another three weeks in Europe around the June/July festival season.

I honestly do not see the band touring for a year or so after these shows this fall. Hopefully a new album for Christmas 2015 or spring 2016.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Theo Epstein was on ESPN 1000 in Chicago last week and was asked about PJ coming back to Wrigley. He said the band felt they had "unfinished business" here and said they'd be back at Wrigley soon. Next year would be great, but I'm guessing we'll get a Wrigley date the following year.

Curious...based on what? They've been in a 20-30ish shows/year mode for years now--a couple weeks here, a few festivals there, a one-off over yonder...what would that change now? Still have people on the payroll, etc., still merchandise to sell. The machine has to be greased every now and then; whether it's 25 shows a year every year or a 80-100 date megatour and 2 years off the road.
Is this where the show list goes?

    11-26-91 / 8-2-92 / 3-15-94 / 7-9-95 / 7-11-95 / 8-29-98 / 9-1-00 / 10-25-03
    10-23-04 / 10-22-06 / 10-9-09 / 10-23-10 / 10-3-12 / 7-9-13 / 10-21-13
    11-24-13 / 11-26-13 / 10-17-14 / 10-20-14 / 10-25-14 / 4-8-16 / 4-9-16
     4-28-16 / 4-29-16 / 8-20-16 / 8-22-16 / 8-10-18 / 8-18-18 / 8-20-18

    2015: New York City
    2016: Ft. Lauderdale / Miami / Jacksonville / Greenville / Hampton / Columbia / Lexington / Philly II / New York City II / Toronto II / Bonnaroo / Telluride / Fenway I / Wrigley I / Wrigley - II / TOTD - Philadelphia, San Francisco
    2017: Ohana Fest (EV)
    2018: Amsterdam I / Amsterdam II / Seattle I / Seattle II / Boston I / Boston II

Unfinished business at wrigley for sure. It wasn't a destination weekend but a disaster weekend.

Anyone who thinks that was a good PJ concert is in denial. The band even knows it was a complete failure.

With all due respect, I think it was very far from any type of failure.

Granted, things didn't go exactly as planned and the "flow" of the show was a little messed up. However, I (& my friends) had a great time, great weekend, great concert, and great memories.

Putting my personal feelings and experiences aside and not even considering them, there were several things that made that night far from a complete failure. The band did sound great and put on one hell of a show. I have read that the 1st set stood out for several people as some of the best performances they had heard.

The fact that they even came back out after the rain was completely awesome on their part. Then, to top that off, they played for more than 2 more hours all the way until 2:00am. That in it's self is amazing. They could have easily packed it up once the rain hit or came out and played half of what they actually did. They had to have pulled a lot of strings to pull off both coming back out & playing until 2:00am. That was quite amazing & I'm very grateful for that!

Now, I realize everyone there had different experiences, different expectations, & different opinions on how everything went and I respect everyone of them. I just don't think it was a complete failure.

And that's just my meaningless opinion. Lol :)

The only reason they came back out was to not eat their profits and deal with refund bullshit. This is 2013 PJ, not 1993 PJ. Money talks for the band.

Goodness, someone is angry - not sure why. If money was the only thing important to the band, I doubt they'd routinely play high intensity shows over 3 hours in length when they could easily get away with playing a standard 2 hours.
