    Sad news indeed.
Seems like Pegi Young has always been a rock for Neil.
    I didn't see this coming.....
although you have to wonder if "Ramada Inn" on his last album was a little more autobiographical than I first thought.
I know after reading his book that he has struggled with his addictions like a lot of people and maybe that contributed to their problems.

Might be none of our business, but makes you reflect a little. Today I celebrate 15 years with my better half and couldn't imagine one day without her.

Whoever it is....celebrity or not....it'll be a huge adjustment for them and their family.

Ed said this in the intro to Nothingman in Toronto 2011 referring to all their spouses backstage that night. Ironically Neil was side stage just to my left hanging in the wings when he said it..

Shit happens, even to old people. Been with my wife since 1973. We couldn't see being with anyone else. But that's us. Everybody dances to their own beat. Some last forever, others don't. As long as my family and friends are healthy and happy, I'm at peace.
Now if my favorite band broke up after all these years, that would be a different story. Worlds would collide, the sun wouldn't shine and I'd be downright depressed.

At least they made it 36? :)

My biological parents barely made 3... On the positive side my mom and dad (technically step-dad) are about to hit 25. It would shock the crap out of me if they ever split.

That's 5 seven year itches people, that's unheard of these days! And maradona, I agree, that next album should be good.

So many things wrong with that sentiment... but the A1 thing is that Neil Young doesn't do anything for PR. The man does exactly what he wants - nothing more, nothing less.

This said, it's a super bummer. Always seemed like one of the "real" celebrity marriages... a major blow to the concept of true love.

    =D>
funny that someone thinks that the man who put out "Trans" and country/rockabilly albums to f*ck with David Geffen would get married to a waitress for PR.

No offense to that poster but they must not know the history of Mr. Young.
