I think the Bears just threw another screen pass.  Getsy has to go.  Defense looked solid.  Still don't know how to feel about Fields....hard to judge a QB when the coaching staff doesn't let him throw the ball down the field.

I’m with you on that. Bare minimum Getsy needs to be fired. His play calling is bad for the HS level. I’d prefer Eberflus and Poles get shit canned too. Use the top two picks on a LT and WR, sign a C, and shore up the DL.

Fields is/can be better than a lot of guys....some of them making significantly more money. I realize they need to decide next year whether to pick up his 5th year option @ like $25M. Not sure about that, but daniel fucking jones is making $40.

Fields looked damn good yesterday. He threw several missiles. Further reinforced my belief that he is the QB we need to ride with. If any change needs to be made it’s at OC. Getsy's play calling is still trash much of the time.

Yeah when Fields doesn't turn the ball over and the defense plays like that, they're a tough team to beat.  He still never looks comfortable in the pocket.  I don't know what they're going to do with him....they just about have the #1 pick from Carolina locked up.

I'm with you.  I think you trade down a few spots and pick up a WR and an OL to finally give Fields some help around him and get more picks.  I don't think we've been able to fairly evaluate Fields given that the roster has been trash for his 3 years in Chicago.  Things have been better with DJ Moore and Kmet but he still needs more help if the Bears are going to compete in the near future.

I respectfully disagree. “good things come to those who wait.” I like the Bears…..just couldn’t see them going far in the playoffs this year, good coaching or not.

I respectfully disagree. “good things come to those who wait.” I like the Bears…..just couldn’t see them going far in the playoffs this year, good coaching or not.

They could be in the playoffs picture, though, with only 2 wins vs. Losses.  They've been within a TD at end of 4 or 5 games.
Don't think they are a good team but not having their qb for a while, on top of being coached by an idiot, I think what he is saying makes sense.

I'm with you here.  Time to win some games.  The obsession with tanking for draft picks like it's some sort of foolproof way to be successful is crazy.  No player is ever going to try to lose a game.  They don't give a shit about future draft picks.

"Tom Brady will have more touchdown passes this year than Fields has in his entire career with the Bears"

Brady had 43 TD's in 2021
Fields has 40 in his career.
