Anybody looking for a framed Klausen DC 2006 Reaper poster?

I have a really nicely framed DC Reaper poster that I'd like to sell, but it's way too big to ship. I'm fairly certain it was dry-mounted as part of the framing process, so removing it from the frame for shipping isn't an option. Just thought I throw it out there and see if there was anybody semi-local to Atlanta, GA looking for this poster? Asking $300 but that's negotiable.

FYI, I know that dry-mounting the poster seriously kills the value of a poster so no need to remind me below.

I had a few people ask about shipping this and after asking around some shipping companies, I can do this for $380 shipped in the US if anyone is interested.

You can see pics on my craigslist post here:

I'd just like to remind you that dry-mounting seriously kills the value of a poster.

Can't tell if being serious..., or poking fun at OP (insert picture of futurama Fry)

Either way, free bump and good luck with your sale.

Frankly, I don't understand why anyone would drymount ANYTHING they're getting framed.

Chalk it up to me not being more involved with the framing. I took it to a nice gallery near my house, picked out a frame and paid my $200. A few months back I removed another poster I had framed at the same gallery and discovered that it was dry mounted, so I'm just assuming all the posters I had framed there were dry mounted.

Wasn't specifically talking about you, but the actual framers. I don't understand the positives of drymounting and all you're doing is destroying the artwork. Just a shame you got screwed over...

the ONLY positive to dry mounting is that it eliminates the possibility of the print wrinkling over time inside the frame.

The DOWNSIDE is that it destroys the value of the print

But if someone wants it and wants to display it, the value is there. Plus, the "value" of that poster dry mounted or not, is more than the original $30.00 and with this one, most likely still somewhat high in value. "Value" is only a concern if you are looking to "flip" the poster. Otherwise, like GratefulJam said, the poster will look a lot better in the frame...lol.

Exactly. I'm not happy that the poster was dry mounted, but I never really felt too ripped off as I never intended to sell the poster. It hung for a good four years in my living room until my dad, a veteran, mentioned how much he disliked the poster and it kind of brought it into a new light for me and has been under my bed for the last four years as a result. The other two poster I got framed that are probably dry mounted are an EV Batman poster and the Washington 03 poster and those look amazing, are still hanging and always will be, so I'm not too concerned about them being dry mounted.

Either way, I'm not really too concerned if this sells or not but I've enjoyed the discussion it's provoked.

When I had my first PJ posters framed I had never even heard of dry mounting. I easily could have had the same thing happen. Thankfully, although that framer used cheap materials, they stopped short of dry mounting. Anyways, it sucks the framer did that, but good luck with your sale.
