Would Lincoln be a Democrat today?

This is good ammo when repubs try to say they were the party of Lincoln and freed the slaves, etc....they weren't
So, sometime between the 1860s and 1936, the (Democratic) party of small government became the party of big government, and the (Republican) party of big government became rhetorically committed to curbing federal power. How did this switch happen?

    Well, he'd still be from Illinois. The Red State/Blue State map would still look the same. I'm betting yes.
