E Rutherford II Tech Problems?

so everyone knows the power went out during Animal at this show....but before it went dead animal had like NO volume compared to the first 3 songs. And then even after they recovered from the difficulties, nothing all night was nearly as audible in the upper section (201-240) as the preset, MMJ, or the first 3 PJ songs. Were they completely unaware of this? Did anyone else notice this?

It was like an entire section of speakers stopped working when they had the tech problems and never kicked back on.....made the show unique because I could hear the crowd almost as loud as the music for a lot of songs..

i concur, it was a little low on the volume...i thought it got better as the night went along though. i think maybe they were keeping it low so they wouldnt blow it all out again...

i still dont know how MMJ can play louder than PJ though.

I really want to buy this boot, but I wonder if the sound on it is messed up too. Hope not.

  • Have you guys ever tried cupping your ears outwards, using your hands as sound receptacles? Dude, it looks fucking ridiculous but it sounds fucking amazing. Some of you may have seen me do that in section 243 last evening. Probably looked like was covering my ears but i was in PJ heaven. The bass resonates so much more, the whole sound is more full. Anyway, thought I'd pass on the tip... just try it right now, cup your ears with your hands and jam out!

i was on the floor, and i've read a few complaints about the sound, and personally - after the techie difficulties with animal i thought the show sounded GREAT. arenas are not good for concerts to begin with, but i have grown accustomed to it....so i really thought the sound was right on.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

is dark star not a grateful dead tune? Have I smoked the wrong crack this morning? I actually don't know the dead very well at all, but still I would feel like dumb ass making a statement like that. Maybe I'll go and edit my post to something cool. Like "yeah, pearl jam rocks!!!!"

I thought the sound was awful from Animal throughout the rest of the main set, then seemed to gradually improve. Overall I'm glad I was there for the last night of leg 1 but the audio problems really made the show a disappointment for me. The other 4 shows I saw on this leg blew last night away, especially E. Rutherford 1.
