red sox fans going to the gorge?

im only in the early stages of planning this but I am heading out from CT to the gorge shows and I noticed on Friday night the sox are in seattle playing the mariners. great seats look to be available in large numbers for great prices so I am thinking about taking in the game on friday night and then driving the 2 hours out ot George (I got a 3 day camping pass since the 2 day ones were sold out).

Seems perfect to me, a little inconvenient to arrive at the gorge where I have never beenbefore at midnight (assuming game ends around 10) and im not even certain they will let you check in that late so it might not work out but I figured i would give it a shot.

anyone interested in going to the game?

When you get to Safeco you will find that you can sit just about anywhere you want. 90+ losses two years straight has turned the place into Oakland.

    This is merely a rant.

I'm a Yanks fan. however,I've always managed to respect the Red Sox (their very existance makes the Yankees almost A.L. East Champs by default every year). still, the Red Sox comeback on the Yanks two years ago when we were up 3-0 and the Sox came back to win and then win the World Series was quite an amazing acomplishment (frustrating as it was for us Yanks fans). i thought that what the Red Sox did that year was one of the great championship wins of all time in any sport.

Then, something bad happened, every where i looked, there were these new Red Sox fans. Not to mention all the people wearing Red Sox hats and shit who don't even like Baseball! they made that god-awful gay ass Fever pitch movie. RED SOX, RED SOX, RED SOX!!! it's all i heard. They won the World Series ONCE in the past 80 years! the Florida Marlins have been around since 1993 and have won 2 already (defeating the Bombers in THE Stadium in 2003) Why no gay movies or over-hype of them??

Just felt the need to rant as i'm not on a baseball message board and the Sox are the topic here. Hardcore Red Sox fans, you know where your team stands (Boggs, Clemens, and Damon all said "Later Boston, we want to play where we'll be relevant") but for all you newbie, I hate the Yankees so i guess i'll cheer the Red Sox people, go watch Hockey.

i guess having a $200 million payroll makes you relevant now. and johnny damon was MUCH more relevant when he was in boston. MUCH more! he started a cult up here...

it comes to george having deeper pockets and fielding and underachieving team over the past 6 seasons

He's just upset that Ed said you guys are good, but you're no Boston at ER1 and the fact that band are Red Sox fans. ;)

mine were pretty cheap, 40 bucks each i think

and they have others 2 sections over in the first row for only 24 bucks each.

i cant believe the list prices for mariners games...i thought 40 was good but they only list for 14!

Like I said beofre...buy the cheapest seat you can find and sit anywhere you want. My guess is you will all end up in the center field bar area anyway.

    Go Mariners.
