I've been to Mo's Irish Pub 3 or 4 times and have heard PJ tunes there every time. It's about a ten minute walk from the Bradley Center. Good beers.

Hoping for Breath, Sad, and Alone somewhere during Lincoln/Moline/St Paul/Milwaukee

Mo's is a perfect spot for after party! (about 1 mile from Bradley Center, across from Marriott Courtyard.)
Not sure about walking a mile at midnight in late October.
    Is the area not safe?

It's a lot like Detroit in the movie Robocop. Otherwise it's not that bad. :)
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Downtown Milwaukee is very safe compared to most major cities. However, it has less traffic than most cities (especially on a Monday night.) you should be fine using common sense safety precautions.

My concern was it may be cold as hell.

Hey, a mile is a long way in 30mph winds with windchill at 10 degrees. Milwaukee gets windy as hell. I'm just saying. Obviously it's a couple months out but it will very cold that late at night. I'm not making the decisions, I'm just throwing my two cents in. As a Wisconsinite I know what to expect.

How's the weather around that time, I'm hot blooded... So i want to know if I need 1 jacket or 4

Hit or miss. Most likely around 50 degrees - 60 degrees range. So a jacket will be needed at night.

We did get hit with a snow storm on October 23rd last year in Wisconsin. Not major but it was cold. So you never know.
    Meaning 4 Jackets

Just messing with you, honest. I'm north of Madison, I know it can be one of 20 different weather situations at any point.

    3. Center Court
    4. Major Goolsby's

Milwaukee will be my last show of the tour, and capping out the Moline / St. Paul / Milwaukee run for me and will be unreal, but I will be wiped out I'm sure. I will have to hit the road early and be in good shape to drive back to Iowa from Milwaukee the day after the show, but I can always manage drinks after the show.

It doesn't matter to me and I will go anywhere, but my vote is for Buck Bradley's.

Hi, I have just one day to visit mke...any tips?

I would like to buy some brewers' merch but I have no time for getting at the miller park...is there any good shop in the downtown area?
  • Each day closer to the show my excitement brings more energy. Began making my camping checklist today. Shit is getting real!!!! ;-)

I don't know where to find Brewer Merch downtown off the top of my head (other than over-priced Hotel Gift Stores) but will keep an eye open for you.

Things to do in Milwaukee kind of depends in your personality.

Miller Brewery Tour is free. Our beautiful Lakefront is a good option if weather permits.

    - Hope that helps

I'll be there too, I'm sure I'll find a ticket somehow. Should anyone want to trade a spare GA I have Lincoln and Moline GA just a pm away. :)
