So you have a PJ poster you know you will never frame

Use it as an entry into this survivor football pool, 1 poster equals 1 entry, no limit on numbers of entries

Do well in the pool and you get to select 1 or several of other peoples "unwanted" posters

One persons trash is another persons treasure

If you do not do well in the pool, you send it to one of the "winners" at the end of the contest

And depending on how many posters get "donated" towards entry into the pool, we designate a certain number of those to get into the hands, and onto the walls, of people who for whatever reason, do not yet own a PJ poster

If you do not own a PJ poster and would like the chance to own one, just post in this thread "hi, I am a PJ poster virgin, be gentle"

First ones in will have the best chance as we do not know how many posters will be in the pool yet

Just an example, if we get 50 posters in pool, I could see 30 of those going to the winners, we would split those amongst the final 7 or so people in the pool with the longer you last, the more you get

And the remaining 20 would be split

10 to the first 10 "poster virgins" to post in thread, they do not even have to make selections in the pool

And 10 to the remaining "poster virgins" based on how well they do in the pool

If you claim to be a "poster virgin" please don't let us find an old post saying how you got a "kong" in your mystery tube

The honor system is in effect

As for the survivor pool, just pick a team that you think will lose in week 1 of the upcoming NFL season

Let's do a loser pool in honor of the "unwanted" posters

If your selected team does "lose" that week, you move onto the next week, and you cannot select that team again for the whole season

If you pick a team to lose, and they win, you are out for the season and will have to mail your entry/poster to one of the winners at the end of the contest

Those who are not "poster virgins" just post in thread the poster you have that will be your entry into pool

To be fair, I do think we need to set a limit on some of the "more unwanted" posters that will be allowed as entry into pool

We could probably create a list of about 5 to 10 posters, like that Vancouver man-sheep-pig thing, where we only allow the first 3 to post in thread as entry

Can we do this again!? I loved it....doesn't necessarily have to be an "ugly" poster, maybe one with a minimal value of say $40-50.....some from what I remember also ended up going to charity....loved the buy in for another poster idea too....maybe narrow the winners down to a top 3 or 5, and still have enough for the "virgins" and charity......what do you think? We have time (I think) lol

Who wants to do a NFL survivor POOL?

Entry would be 1 PJ poster (in good to mint condition) or 4 PJ show specified stickers

Let's keep out the Vancouver man-pigs and checkloslovakia Ronald mcdonalds this time

Pick one NFL team to win each week to survive to the next week

If you lose in the first 2 weeks you can buy back in with another entry if you wish

We will also use this pool as a donation to one of ELWAYVEDDERS next OYR raffles

Dave will get a free entry into the pool and if he finishes out of the winners bracket, he will get the first selection from the pot of posters/stickers to use in a raffle

I will post pool website info later if we get enough people

Season starts 1 week from tomorrow

Anyone interested in getting this up and running this year? (Eric? lol) If we start garnering interest now, we could get a pretty decent number of people involved and some added poster goodies for OYR....might need to start a new thread but was really fun a few years back....I'll start the ball rolling with a lovely St.John's '05 poster I picked up in the recent Mystery sale.....
