EV about to announce a us solo tour?

fapjfapj Posts: 32
Has anyone else noticed that on the tour page ev is still listed? Is this always the case?
I could swear in the past when his tour was over his name was also gone.....maybe it's just wishful thinking. :D

I was just thinking he's likely to be bored in November. Canada and NY, Philly, Boston etc solo shows would be AWESOME! Maybe aug 10 newsletter?

I love Eddie's solo show but if there are additional tour dates to be announced I do hope they are Pearl Jam dates.

Agree. Ed's shows are great, but I don't think I'll be traveling for his solo shows much anymore. I'll go anywhere to see PJ.

After seeing Ed solo once I think I'm good. I totally enjoyed the show, but not unless he visits MN or releases some new material.

If he releases more guitar based material, then I agree. If there is another uke record I think the time to see him would be before that. When I saw him in 2011 at the start of that tour (Boston and Providence) he was opening with the uke stuff and really pushing it. It didn't quite work as a show opener. By the time I saw him again, at the end of the 2012 tour, the uke stuff had been better mixed into the show and he was opening with Trouble, Don't Be Shy, etc. They were much, much better shows down in Clearwater than they had been the year before here in New England.

I do like the ukelele songs but a little goes a long way sometimes.

Having only seen Eddie solo once, I can say (likely, much to the ire of the rest of the fan club), that if the band were to split up (ever), and Eddie wanted to continue performing like this - just him and a few guitars and a uke or two, with Mr. Hansard or other accompaniment, I would certainly travel to two or three dates on each tour. Eddie solo is such a different, laid-back experience. Quite enjoyable, to be sure! As exciting as PJ shows are, as I age, I can truly appreciate a relaxing, chill concert.

If Eddie announces another solo tour, I'm there.

Same here. I'd go see EV if he were playing in Chicago, but I can't see myself traveling to go see the solo shows at this point. They are great shows, but I'd much rather save my money for actual PJ shows.

noo I need to leave winter! play hawaii! kidding ;)

I'm not sure about GA for Ed shows. I think that kind of experience translates better in a seated context. And that takes a lot for me, the GA advocate n. 1, to say that. ;)
