Death is Death

People are people.
We have more compassion for animals than we do our own specie.
Looks like the value of land out weighs the value of human life.
Bullying is bullying, doesn't matter how you try to disguise it.

^^^ Interesting thoughts. Care to elaborate?

    And...life is life?

I have compassion for life as a rule, and keep it aside as exceptions to those who have no compassion or humanity.

Does your post speak to animals, land, humans, bullying?

Given the thread title, just a bit less vagueness, sweeping comments and context, too, would be appreciated.

Have any of you seen the new Planet Of The Apes movie? Please see as it deals with the conflict between apes and humans and how they're one and the same. It shows how both sides have difficulty in trusting each other, sadly the conflict brought me to tears. Damn good movie especially in 3d.

I haven't caught that film yet, g - though have seen the others before, from the very first one with Heston.

We are so similar (if not the same in more ways than not) to those great beasts.

The wisdom, intelligence, knowledge in their eyes, their sense of family and loyalty, their incredible gentleness when warranted.

Makes me want to read Ishmael again.

2% different DNA, that's what separates us from them. But look how much 2% different DNA does.
