Can't believe it's only bee a year.

    If you told me a year ago that I would have seen Pearl Jam 8 times in the next year I would have said you were crazy. Chicago was special and it was the jump start my wife and I both needed. Seeing these guys over the last year has been amazing; going to places we have always wanted to, meeting fans from around the world and enjoying being part of this community.

    Who would have known that it would have all started a year ago today on those long hot merch lines.

    That's my exact story too. I'm not sure what it was about Wrigley and that trip, but I've now seen the boys all over the US and the UK.

    Early flight from Boston, train to Hyatt, checked in and dropped bags, train to Wrigley, picked up the tickets, laughed at the insane merchandise lines, started drinking. That was my day one year ago.

    Wrigley was such an amazing time! I would go back in a heart beat. I also stood inline for about four hours in that insane heat for a poster, shirt, sticker, and pack of cards... and would do it again!
    Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

    Ha ha. After the July 18 drinkfest and walking about 1.5 miles for pizza in that heat on the 19th. I spent the rest of the day at Goose Island in the fetal position waiting on the show

    I was out in Seattle for work and I had a blast sitting in my hotel room drinking beers and listening to it on the webcast... great night.

    Its funny...I had forgotten about the heat. I tell people all the time about the insane walk after the show, but the heat I had forgotten.

    I was right there with all of you....And 2 years ago today(in about 2 hours) I had my work accident that resulted in my left elbow looking like it does in my avatar pic(my right elbow broke as well but not as bad). Chicago was a very, very special time for me. Sitting outside the outfield wall that evening listening to THAT sound-check, realizing where I was the year before, I will never forget it. It was all so very worth it in the end.

    Being a born-and-raised Floridian, I generally don't burn, but I got good and crispy in Wrigleyville.

    I am a native Floridian too and still live here.

    My two worse sunburns-Woodstock 99 in NY and Sonisphere '14 in England.

    Yes, I remember. What a great way to spend my birthday last year and the day after!

    Yes, the heat was intense & the lines were ridiculously long and I would do it all over again. Made the trip with 3 great friends, met some more friends for the first time, & met several other great people.

    Great times, great memories. I can't wait to do it again!
    (Ok, maybe subtract 30* & 3 hours of line time the next time! :) )

    ^^^ LOL! Cracks me up every time I see it. I can't believe people did that, but hey, good on 'em, even thought they're nuts! Plus, DougFloyd and his wife did it and scored me an Emek poster, so I will be forever grateful that they stood in that insane line all day. :x
