Re: Milton Keynes Bootleg

Just a request to those in control over the distribution/mixing of the official bootlegs that are available on the PJ site.

I hope that the show, including Eddie's speech regarding war, remains uncut and unaltered for us to enjoy. I realise Eddie has come under scrutiny for his words regarding war, but for those of us that attended the show, his words were inspirational, touching, and without doubt one of the most memorable moments I have encountered at a PJ show, or at any other concert for that matter.

So I hope that his words are available for us to hear again, from a show that will remain with me for a long, long time.

100% agreed. He said nothing that day that he should be ashamed of, nothing he need apologize for, and nothing that should be edited in any way.

  • Why on earth wouldn't it be? The mere thought of that is absurd (please know that I mean no offense).

He's talked about war before at gigs numerous times and none have been censored in the boots from what I can remember.

This so better be available! I am envious of you my friend. I love being part of epic PJ shows. There is no greater feeling.
  • Delighted to read I'm not the only one then! I've never heard of PJ bootlegs being edited before, hope it won't start now.

This part of Ed's letter suggests to me that he won't let it be edited out.

I think the only boot they cut anything out was the Berlin 2010 show.

One of the Canada '11 boots was edited - Come Back was missing cos Mike fucked part of it up. Unbelievable really cos most gigs they mess up a song here or there.

Listened to the Berlin boot yesterday. The anniversary talk is in there.

The only edits I know of are ARC in 2003 and Come Back from one of the Canadian shows in 2011 when Mike had a problem with his guitar.
