wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of reward for buying loads and loads of boots even when you know you shouldn't, all to support the greatest band in the world. I'm thinking something like a free boot after every 10 you purchase or something like that...or maybe a phone call from one of the guys after every 10. I have personally spent way too much on this year's boots..of course I'm not complaining and don't regret buying any one of them
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

There should be a tenclub discount like the 03 bootlegs

I expressed a similar notion, but something just for the holiday season. For the next month, 4 boots for the price of 3. Since concert sets come in dates of 2 or 3 nights, this would encourage the consumer to buy more shows. Even if it's only for the 2005 shows, since they're only in .mp3 format (no FLAC), encoded at 192kps (and therefore, sonically inferior to 2006's .mp3 format boots)...

8 bootlegs for $64.44... that sounds like a good deal for a sale. I doubt Basecamp will be receptive to a deal like this, but if it came to be, I'd settle for such a deal and get some more Basecamp boots as a holiday gift from someone in my family.

I've already spent a lot of money on shows I should've invested in savings, but there are always a few more shows I want. The shows are addictive, they're collectible, but unless a deal comes soon I'll have to wait before spending anymore money.

I've purchased over 200 shows since 2000 and at one point I thought about why don't we get something special too, but then again I realize how cheap they are being offered compared to what I used to pay pre-bootleg days, $40-$50 per show.

By that train of thought, the band offering these shows at such prices have allowed fans to acquire shows in a much more accessible fashion then pillaging through used record stores in hopes of finding a boot or fighting over the price of a rare show on an online auction market such as eBay.

Some sellers are still selling shows from the 2000 tour at those prices (I mean $40-50), say now that they are out of print, and the 2003 shows are of course, much rarer... they're selling for double that. There are a lot more 2000 shows I wish I had hard copies of, and the only 2003 shows I have are the six mass-market ones (seven counting Benaroya Hall), but I'm not shilling out $85 for 2003 boot. I can afford it. Fortunately, there's a thread in this very Message board that allows fans to download all those shows for free, providing they have the time and HD space. It's great that there are fans so willing to come together and share just because they know the recieving end is just another fan. I realize those OOP shows are "collective memorabilia" now, so the seller can sell them for whatever they want. What the value of them remains to be seen (a lot of them are still sealed, and I know people bought the 2003 Tour boots as a set when that was available), but in 2003 I was a broke college kid.

I really like the online bootleg system, but I wish they'd pick a few shows to redistribute to stores, since there are shows that exceeded a certain level of excellence, and fans know they would be worth purchasing again.

I've strayed from the OT, but but still, a holiday sale would be great, but I don't think it's going to happen. Basecamp was nice to offer to compile the Milwaukee/St. Paul/Denver shows because Boom left to return home, and the band only played one short encore each night during this period. Still, having Benmont on the keys was cool, and the shows weren't total write-offs.

I'm still interested in the 2005 shows, The Great White North and South America, but I don't think they're ever going to be offered at 256kbps or in FLAC format, so they're just what they are...
