    Oh, this hurts. Tommy was so awesome- in many ways my favorite original member. The original Ramones were the four corner archetypes that formed the basic ingredients of this great turbulent band. Johnny was the driving force disciplinarian. Joey was the heart and soul. Dee was the mad genius. And Tommy was the glue, the steady handed architect. I love what each and every one of them contributed.

    Rest in peace, Tommy Ramone. Tears...

    We are saddened to announce the passing of Tommy Ramone (nee Erdelyi), the original drummer for the Ramones, earlier today, 11 July 2014.

    "It wasn't just music in The Ramones: it was an idea. It was bringing back a whole feel that was missing in rock music – it was a whole push outwards to say something new and different.
