Does a $15.95 shipping cost on a $30 poster to Canada deter anyone?
  • This is a bump.

Mystery poster deals are great and all but as long as the shipping cost favours everyone.

It was $8.99 to ship in the US. Aren't shipping prices normally more expensive to Canada? And extra $7 doesn't seem that bad to ship out of the country.

I don't own any posters...this will be my first, whatever it is. The dream would be a Wrigley poster, but I know that's 1 in a million :)

    Awesome!
You have the advantage of having married another PJ freak. My wfe likes them and has seen them a bunch of times with me but I recently hung 2 more to reach 17 in our house and the others will just need to be for collecting and slowly talking my way to 30 hung. :)

It's definitely an advantage..although with these mystery boxes& posters, it's getting pretty bad..lol. We have no will power when it comes to merch...posters specifically. We have 24 framed and on the walls...8 more that need to be framed..not to mentioned what is coming...1 mystery box and 2 mystery posters plus 2 fall shows..lol. We have a serious problem..we're going to need a bigger house! :P

Poster tubes make excellent scratching posts for cats!

But remember to empty the tubes first! :FP:

Not trying to call out the 10c or anything but last week I shipped a poster in the same exact tube that the 10c sent it to me in and it was under 2 dollars from PA to IL and I'm pretty sure it would have been the same anywhere in the country. I don't think the 10c is over charging us, I just think they are using the WAY wrong shipping services that cost both them and us more money.

they are adding tracking/insurance as well, I cant imagine you shipped yours with these options for under 2 American, right?

actually I don't know that they send them insured with tracking but I imagine that's the reason for the 8.99.... I may be wrong

I'm guessing part of the charge could include the cost of the tube itself.

I just shipped 3 posters out this week, US Postal Priority Mail, with tracking & insurance, and the cost was $5.05-$5.54 each depending on location. It's fair to say that the $8.99 the 10C charges also includes the cost of the tube, a sheet of craft paper, and the time to package & label said tube. The only difference is, with USPS you get the poster in 2-3 days with seemingly instant updated tracking. With Mail Innovations, you get it in 2-3 weeks and tracking is always a couple days behind.
