GA ticket - is it guaranteed?

Bit confused with the 10C GA ticket. Me and my mate have 2 each, so 4 of us are going. Are we guaranteed a wristband for entry into the GA area, or do we have to get in really early to queue to get a wristband?
Or am I right in thinking we can rock up any time to pickup the tickets & wristband if we aren't fussed about getting to the very front often GA area, and then go into the GA when all the music starts but have a shitty spot?
