Did John McCain take selfies with ISIS?

Here is the problem with taking sides in wars...

1. Our tax dollars are taken to fund these supposed "freedom fighters".
2. Eventually they find a way to use them against us.
3. Our tax dollars are taken to fund US troops to fight these "terrorists".

It is an endless circle of lies and deceit at the expense of lives and the hard earned money of the citizens. It breeds hate around the world because we have our noses in everyone else's business.

Congressman Thomas Massie posted this earlier...

"We've spent $80 billion dollars of non-military aid in Afghanistan, and we've promised another $20 billion. Yet our highway trust fund will be insolvent this summer ($10 billion in debt). SHARE if you agree that it's time to focus on our ‪#‎transportation‬ ‪#‎infrastructure‬ at home instead of sending US taxpayer money overseas."

I don't know. Please post the selfies or the link. I'd like to see them but personally, I wouldn't be surprised if he did. He's lost it.

    Peace.

Sen. McCain has called for airstrikes in Iraq though he did admit to Politico, “it’s very hard to ascertain which target to hit."

Oh, WTF, John. Bomb them anyway. They're brown!

McCain is a war whore. Imagine the trouble with Russia we would have now if he and Romney had been able to team up...yeesh its scary to think about. I don't believe in soldiers as politicians, the theory among the lay is that they will be less likely to commit troops, but in reality it is their go to move...quarterback is gonna choose to throw the ball over hand-off every time. Football season is back I guess, I don't even watch football and it seeps into my consciousness lol

This stuff will end when we can finally starve the system.

Nobody volunteer for the military. Could you imagine?

I can imagine it, but there are a conspicuous number of unicorns frolicking about. I agree that is the only way, to convince our children that it isn't OK to kill for the wishes of an economic empire. Nationalism will never allow such a thing! Rock, flag, and eagle..war on terror...don't tread on me bro...SMFH

Hey now, those things you mention are still symbols Some of us hold dear. You don't have to like them,or honor them but you wouldn't be speaking free without them.
Don't tread on me.I love that flag.

Reminds me of Soviet and Nazi propaganda. Salute the flag, say the pledge, march in line, don't question. China has a flag, slogans, salutes, an army, that isn't what gives a country freedom.

You have to question, that's what keeps things in balance, and of course our symbols are not what gives us freedom, but as reminders of those freedoms they have great and meaningful value.
  • I sometimes think 'there is nothing creepier than seeing a congregation all glossy-eyed and rapturous listening to a preacher speak...except for maybe watching people lose their shit over nationalist symbols and songs, pledging blind allegiance to them.
Then I look around at the faces at a PJ show and....it's not all that different.
But then...PJ's track record is a little cleaner than church and state. I think we can be forgiven ;)

Very true. I am mistrustful of that value though, it has been used to control people frequently in the past.

I don't know if McCain would be do gung-ho for war had he been president. It's easy to criticize but once on spot perspectives change.

Flipping channels today and came upon religious channels and had same thought. Some just need to be led I guess.

Only those in power reap the benefits of the value.

    Fk the pledge of allegiance.

Haha I say fuck the pledge too. Some symbols like the flag predate modern propagandism, but the pledge is much newer and co-opted from fascism. Reminds me of the Hitler Youth. Wouldn't it also violate the Bible? Swearing fealty isn't my style, I am a man of the North, we don't bend the knee :-)
