Is there a golden circle for Leeds?

I know there is early entry for Ten Club members for this show, but do we know if there is a golden circle also?

Don't think that there will be a golden circle as such. Had a quick look at some pictures of the arena and when Bruce Springsteen played there there was a barrier up. But if there is a barrier, chances are you'll have to get in early if you want to be at the front.

I've asked this question to both the venue and Ten Club and although I haven't had a definite answer, it seems like it will be a "No."
The venue stated that they had no plans for a second barrier to be in place but at that time plans for the show had yet to be finalised. I've asked them again since but didn't have a response. They did state that when Bruce Springsteen played that entry to the golden circle section was managed by the fan club making a list......and well, we all know we don't want to go there now!

When I asked 10C they responded by saying it was up to the venue if they put in a second barrier or not and that the early entry wristbands would be purely for that: early entry.

Looking at the venue in comparison to other shows on the tour, the standing section is extremely small. I might be wrong but I think Leeds is easily the smallest venue on this Euro jaunt with a capacity of around 13,000, and Springsteen does seem to have been the exception with regards to the set up at this arena.

So, I don't know for definite but I'm going in expecting there not to be a golden circle next Tuesday.

  • Many thanks for the replies.

I actually went to the Springsteen show in Leeds that you both referenced. There was definitely a pit/golden circle for that show.

The standing section is indeed very small. Was hoping there would be a golden circle in place, so the option was there to stand at the back of that in relative comfort. Getting early entry to stand at the front of a normal GA section, and most likely getting crushed and shoved about by the inevitable appearance of morons doesn't appeal to me too much.

Looking at the layout, even at the back of GA you still won't be too far from the stage. I'm going to take my chances in the pit. Really looking forward to seeing them in this place, it looks amazing and the set lists so far have been unreal.

    Totally agree.

I also doubt there will be a second barrier at Leeds. The pit will be awesome no doubt about it!

This was my hope too but alas it seems we'll be out of luck. The only way I am going anywhere near the front of GA will be if there's that second barrier in place. My days of having the air squashed out of my lungs are long behind me and I've experienced just how dangerous Pearl Jam GA can be. I've only got GA for this show because that was what I got in the 10C lottery.

I'm still going to take advantage of the early entry on the off chance there is a front enclosure but if there isn't then I'll be quite content to watch what promises to be an incredible show from further back.

I'm probably gettting to old for this is as well, but when the show starts I will be too excited and willfind it impossible not to get involveded in the pit!

Oh I'll be like a kid on Christmas morning when they walk on stage. There's nothing like the head rush of adrenalin when the lights go down at a Pearl Jam show. I just don't want to have that ruined by concentrating all my efforts on not falling over :-)

Yes apparently it has been designed so all seats have perfect view and I've also been told even the floor is sloped towards the stage to allow better views for all the GA!

It is going to be immense!

Second barrier for Springsteen was because he had a walk way across the middle of the pit, not out from centre stage but left to right across the pit. PJ won't have that, I am sure, so just one GA.

But weren't all the GA tickets allocated to 10club anyway so I'm not sure what early entry provides other than an opportunity for 10c members to fight it out for the barrier in private.

No, there were definitely GA tickets in the public sale.
It was a really cool move by 10C when they secured the whole standing area for the fan club at Wembley Arena in 2007 but I've not heard of that happening at any show since.

I have a GA non 10c ticket so they were definitely on public sale.

There was a small amount on public sale, but by all accounts they went instantly, question is... Is there a GC for Milton Keynes as it's an outdoor show ?
