Camille Claudel - The Waltz
I like this piece very much because of the emotions which are frozen in this piece, of love and compassion. For me at the same time it is just a frozen moment in time and timeless...

Passionate is the first word that came to my mind.Aafke said:Camille Claudel - The Waltz

Good thread idea - it's certainly made me think.
And I agree with Aafke on the frozen aspect toward the visual side of art...much of what I love about photography, sculptures, paintings, drawings. While perception can change over time, the piece itself is concrete - unlike the fluidity of music, for example.
Anyway, one of my favorite genres is sandcastle art (so many I've seen that floor me it's tough to choose one)...but I love the precision, the creativity, the time put into it; obviously labors of love.
Looking forward to adding more and seeing others!0
