I'm really sorry you turned this into a gun thread, G.F. Isn't the issue here more about a lack of morality rather than a lack of guns? Sorry man, but that's how I see it.

I don't care for graphic videos and would prefer to read about the topic. What is this video about?

It's about a lady who works for a McDonald's who followed and beat the snot out of a lady customer who had her two year old son with her. The employee was said to go after the mom following an argument. People are standing around watching the lady get beat to shit while the little kid is the only one trying to help mom. Little kid is traumatized. We're not told why the employee is mad at mom.

    My further extrapolations:
People standing around as spectators for this kind of thing, take videos but do absolutely nothing to help show no moral fiber what-so-ever.
People who make a steady diet of McDonald's food often become crazed and dangerous.

P.S. The video has absolutely nothing to do with guns. (Sorry G.F. That's true though, right?)

I think thats what he was saying. To put it another way, "who needs a gun, we are plenty violent without them....."

yes that was my intention, people do horrible things and never use a gun.
sorry for the confusion Brian and to anybody who was upset by the news clip,it seems that there are several anti gun comments and threads but nobody addresses the violence that takes place without a gun, people just as disturbed or angery,I wonder if this gal that beat up the customer will get much time in jail or offered any mental help for her anger issues ?
there are crimes happening every day that don't involve a gun or any weapon at all but the ones that get all the media attention and attention of some train members are those that do involve a gun, does anybody watch a show called "American Greed" ? there are people in every state, county or even coutry that spend all their time stealing from the elderly and unsuspecting taking everything they own and leaving lives in ruin....but that does dot feed the morbid curiosity that most people have right ?

    Thank you for the recap.
I must admit if it were two women I wouldn't step in until I felt until there was a 'winner' - think of a hockey ref during a fight. However since there was a child, my mommy card comes into play and I would do all in my power to stop it. We're there no 'gentlemen' around to step in?

My sense is there were no gentle-anyone to step in, just morbid curiosity seekers.

So, G.F., sorry if I misinterpreted your thread title. If the point is that we are a violent society with or without guns, the video certainly illustrates that not only do people engage in violence, they enjoy being spectators of violence. That's what's always a big hit in the news. It's what we're showered with by the media. Maybe we should all turn off the TV, stop reading and viewing FOX/MSNBC/ABC/CBS/CNN and instead put some flowers on the table, do the boogaloo, take a walk in the park or watch rabbits in the yard or something.

i didn't watch the video - i don't enjoy watching youtube videos of people getting beat up, shot, attacked - you know what i mean. With the advent of social media, it seems that people would rather be the first to post the video on-line than to be the first to help. And women can hurt women just as badly (or worse) than two men can - you don't know the background or emotional/mental state of either of the two people. If I was getting the shit beat out of me, and i would be on the losing end because i've never been in a fist fight, i would hope that someone would step in - nothing wrong with a man stopping a fight between two women - esp. when there is a small child involved. Or a child of any age. That is the true tragedy. The amount of children who witness violence on a daily basis; whether it be a domestic violence situation, a random asshole such as described here or by just watching the internet has created a generation of people who are out of touch with social norms . The attacker needs help, the attacked needs help and the child definitely needs help.
Sometimes we all don't live in places where we can just go for a walk and find peace, unfortunately, Brian. i completely understand what you're saying; but i don't live in an area that is conducive to peace of mind most of the time. That's why i drive to the bottom of the state and stare at waves for a week - to remember that i have a soul.
Good point Godfather. Guns are still out of control - but so are a lot of people. Together - we all know how that is working out.

Let's give it up for jersey! What a piece of shit, wow, in front of her kid too. And all those fucktards standing around watching. Like it's gladiator or something. Fucken unreal.
  • Well...

Couldn't help myself. Without knowing what provoked the attack (an earlier argument was mentioned on the video?)... I have an issue with the aggressor in the video. But more so, I have a real problem with the soulless people in the video that stood around and watched while a 2 year tried to help his mother out by kicking her assailant.

Are we seriously that far gone where not even one person felt compelled to stop the assault? Nobody even spoke up aside from a few gangsta "Oooohhhs" when the victim was kicked and spit on.

I was driving by an accident yesterday that many rescue vehicles had been on the scene. They were just getting the victim out of the car that was on the side and you know what two firefighters had to do? These valuable resources were holding up blankets to block the view because so many people were filming it on their phones. F-ing losers.

I agree, I think though actions by fire personnel such as that happened before the proliferation of camera phones.
