I have no idea why but I've always preferred the Princeton series to the Deluxe. Just seems like a crisper tone with the Princeton

Can't go wrong with two 6v6 power tubes and a rectifier tube... Either is good. I like 10" and 12" speakers. Its win, win, win, win.

Augh! I would give my left nut to have my original '65 DeLuxe back again! That said, I know a guy who has an original near-mint Princeton and that amp is as full of soul, tone and sweetness as any amp I've heard. If I had the money to shell out for an original of either (in very good or better condition) I'd probably go with the Princeton- but just by a hair and probably because I never had one.

My father-in law has a Princeton Recording amp. Goodness...that amp is sexy

Then there is always this... Was built for me a few years ago. 5E3 pre amp section paired with a 60's deluxe power amp section.
