If you look at all of the shows back to the very first, which do you most wish you were at (or which were you at that was the best ever)?
Be creative . . . . I guess we all wish we were at the Off Ramp for the first one...

The crowd is so into every song, and they sing so loud and in tune too! They almost put Ed to shame on one or two tracks, especially Nothingman.
I'll have my chance this year though, Milan here i come!
I am happy to have been at Alpine Valley in 00 and 03. The Ice Bowl was quite an experience (nothing like having your hands be so numb you can't even light a cigarette), and the crowd's energy level at 03 was the most intense thing I have ever experienced.

for the least they could possibly do
edit : shows i tried to get to but couldnt get tix/transportation 96 bangor, 98 barrie, 2000 montreal
06/29/03 09/22/05 09/24/05 09/25/05 05/09/06 05/10/06
(largest crowd they had ever played for at the time BTW...)
not very close came jones beach 00 night 3, and buffalo 03
but only love can brake your fall
I would've LOVED to be there for the acoustic pre-set! Main set left a little to be desired though.
Nights 1 and 2 were just insane.
two words: tremor, and christ (amazing version)
but only love can brake your fall
OMG it totally was!! Crowd and band were ON FIRE!
Another show I wish I had gone to was London 05. I woulda been there had I not bought U2 tix for the opening night on that leg of their tour long before PJ announced theirs.
That was my Oceans night :( I've never gotten it before or since.
I was there!!! You can make up for it by going to the 06 Santa Barbara show.
But You Might Die Trying
I'll take your point there. Tremor Christ is such an amazing song, and so underplayed!
I may just make a Tremor Christ sign for the Euro shows! My girlfriend loves it.
I am going...but I know there will be no Chris Cornell this time :(
You never know. There might be a fashion show nearby and he'll show up.
But You Might Die Trying
lol not gonna hold my breath. Maybe Portland show..its a benefit and its his Shared b-day with Stoney.
Oh and for shows that I wish I could have gone to are
Boston 7-11-03
Red Rocks 95
Gorge 93
Benaroya Hall
But You Might Die Trying

katowiceII '00
atlanta '94, or any show from late '93 thru '94
bostonIII '03
i have to agree with both of those. however, the grand rapids show this year was UNBELIEVABLE! alpine always has a great crowd, but gr this year was the best concert i've ever been to.
(noticed you are from nw indiana. i'm from valpo.)
East Troy '00
Chicago '00
Champaign '03
Chicago '03
East Troy '03
Noblesville '03
Grand Rapids '06 (2nd row--CENTER! and a tambourine)
I think I liked this answer the best....
Surprised though that most of the answers were after year 2000.
I thought you all would come up with more old school stuff.
Mine are Drop in the Park (I coulda had tickets but my buddy INSISTED we have band practice that day). We practiced in Kirkland and we wound up sitting outside listening to the show blast across Lake Washington wishing we had gone...
and
Off Ramp 10/25/03. We got there, stood in line, almost got in, watched stupid Seahawks quarterback Rick Mirer waltz by us as a VIP, waved to Mike out the upstairs window, and had to listen from outside. VS had just come out the week before and this was a warmup....man I came close.....

They played for 300 people and supposedly Eddie was climbing all over the place:-)
It was at a closed down watermill so he had plenty of options for climbing...
