Thanks Pap. I've never met her, except for online. She's been honest with us (the meteorite forum we're a part of - the one created by Geoff Notkin, of Meteorite Men) and she's been a member on that site for quite a while. Only recently did she say it's been her life's dream to go on a meteorite hunt, but she can't do it alone because she's in a wheel chair due to her Spinal Muscular Atrophy. As soon as I found someone that was unable to pursue a passion because of a disability, I jumped on that train faster than I've jumped on any train before. I made it my personal objective to get her on that meteorite hunt she's always dreamed of. We have some decent support so far, and we are definitely launching a real campaign (http://www.indiegogo.com/project/preview/b9e766b9) to raise money to fly her and two travel nurses from Ohio to Nevada where they will meet up with a meteorite hunter. We're going to get her and her chair out in the field and help her find her very first meteorite. @mfanady to anyone who wants to send her a goodluck note.

We are beginning to build her dream day by day, bit-by-bit, Pap. We're 20% funded on our 3rd day so far and we are ecstatic by these results. I watched your video at the top again, shed my morning tears of joy, and am now about to throw on the coffee, turn on the jams, and get to work. PMA... positive mental attitude. That's as far as it goes for me. Feelin the PMA in here!

Here is our friend, Marissa, whom we've never met in person, but whom after sharing her story with us, we took action to get closer and do something fun!




A generous member from our meteorite forum sent her this meteorite that he found in the area she will be hunting next Spring 2015. She's so excited and we're now 65% funded



There are many people with hopes and dreams, but a limiting disability and perhaps a limiting mindset makes them believe they can't follow their dreams. This was the case with Marissa and now that there is a team of supporters behind her dream, she now believes she can do this!! And so do we!
