How many songs on your iPod and how many different artists?

People get blown away a tad when I tell them how many songs I have on my iPod and how many different bands/artists.
To me you can never have to many.

    My son had around 10,000 but a heap of those were fillers,songs he didn't really give a damn about,out of the 6700 odd I have not one is a filler,all great songs (to me).
    Some big numbers being shown, out of my 6700 odd, 2900 are PJ obviously a lot of boots,would be interested to know out of the number of songs on yours are PJ and further more is the total number all listenable say on a shuffle ?

    as of right now, 8600, although...
    some of those are album sides, digitized either from vinyl or cassette and not split up song by song, so they may contain 4 or 5 songs
    my music really needs to be gone through and thoroughly sorted because I have it sort of scattered in 3 or four different places, I alot more than 8600 wma's, mp3s, flacs that aren't on the ipod... I was fine until I started using iTunes
