    Have you no empathy?  How about: what a terrible tragedy....someone lost their life.  Someone killed another person  Over stealing some stuff out of their garage.  

    You think people become burglars just for fun?  What leads someone to steal from another's home?  How do we prevent it? 

    Maybe we create a system that provides better paying jobs.  A system that provides better education for those jobs.  A system that provides adequate support for people who lose their jobs.  A system that doesn't bankrupt people for the cost of basic healthcare.  

    I think people with your mentality just want an opportunity to kill another person, and waiting for any excuse to do it.  Only think in terms of punish, fine, jail, kill.  Hardly the voice of reason.

    This person was able to effectively stop the perp, but it is unfortunate that he died of his wounds.  No happy endings for anyone here.  The homeowner is going to have to live with the fact they killed someone and the mental trauma that accompanies that, along with potential legal battles.  What a terrible day for all involved.  Sad when bad decisions lead to this kind of outcome.
