I think they should do orange vinyl, because the CD was orange.
Oh yeah, I dig this too!

Just wait for this new winner to post and complain that they didn't want the orange shirt...they really wanted the dark gray.  And then we can ask them about how they were notified.   =)

Yup. It's our monthly advertisement for the PJ Cash Grab. Would be nice to get actual updates on things like the holiday single, what the band members are up to, any updates on the forthcoming album (we were told Can't Deny Me is off the forthcoming album, so they must know something about it), answer questions like when the presale for the latest Vault ends, etc...
The newsletter is a big nothingburger.

+1. That was brutal. I can't believe we still don't know when the Vault presale ends or when they're going to be mailed out..... Has the 2017 single even been mailed out yet??
There could also be plenty more news about all those charities they gave the home and away fund to or something. Hell, they could just add a couple amusing photos of any member of the band at any event or whatever. Or how about a shout out to the unveiling of the Cornell statue or something? Or an update about when their exhibit at MoPop ends....  Just give us SOMETHING, eh? Besides what's up in the shop.

Folks, a rock band isn't going to have big news every month. Take a peek at the merch and enter the contest. If you still desire input, diversify your interests.

Nobody's asking for big news. Just any news at all. And people have suggested what news could have been put in there - info people actually want. I could easily come up with 20 different things they could have quickly whipped up for a newsletter without having anything at all going on with the band right now. It's a called a newsletter for a reason, presumably. This month it was a flyer.

I don't know. Reading back through the suggestions, it ranges from "they probably don't have an update ready to share" to "I guess that's nice but I don't care that they didn't work it up into an article."

Well, I would have loved to read something more in depth about the charities they gave all that charity money to and see something about Chris Cornell (and seriously, if they still don't know what the presale deadline for the Vault is, that would be fucked up and make no sense. All they have to do is pick a date and say it). But there could be so many things... It doesn't take much imagination to come up with something to throw in a newsletter, seriously. Even just something reminiscing about some old show would work, with a few old photos. I imagine having something of interest to some is better than having nothing of interest to everyone. ;)

Why they don’t do a “this date in Pearl Jam history” is beyond me. It would rule!

Nice idea but seeing that the newsletter only comes out on the 10th the idea would run out of gas in a year.

Haha! More like 2 years, but I see what you mean. How about "This one time, in Pearl Jam history..."

I am the first to admit that I can be a bit...frugal but doesn't $35 for a t-shirt seem a bit steep? I suppose it doesn't help that I'm Canadian and also have to factor in exchange rates and higher shipping costs.

Let me rephrase my earlier comment: I am the first to admit that I can be a bit frugal but doesn't $70 for a t-shirt seem a bit steep?
