Has anyone done an A/B test with the new Zeppelin remasters... CD vs Hi-Rez?
Actually, a better test would be converting the new CD to FLAC, then comparing the FLAC to Hi-Rez 24/96 files using the same DAC/signal chain.

    I sounds amazing on CD. A big time sound upgrade. No idea about the vinyl.

    Thanks, I know it sounds good on CD and it also sounds great on vinyl. I am wondering how much of a difference there is between the new CD and the Hi-Rez version.

    That is the great debate lately isn't it? Sound so good your ears supposedly can't tell the difference from CD resolution.

    Well, hi-rez is supposed to sound BETTER than cd. That is the point of hi resolution. So I am wondering if it actually does sound better than the cd version. Thats the point of this post.

    Thanks, I checked that very same thread before posting my question here. Apparently that thread has grown considerably since I first checked though. There is some good insight there now.
