That’s ridiculous. Of course dogs are inherently dangerous; canids are predators.unsung said:Dogs and guns are not inherently dangerous.
And I suppose guns aren’t inherently dangerous ... as long as there are no people in the vicinity. Then they are, because they’re designed to be.
Gun owners kill people0 -
really. my cocker spaniel (RIP), who was normally the happiest, friendliest dog on the planet, when he got hold of a bone out of the garbage, he turned into a fucking monster.unsung said:Dogs and guns are not inherently dangerous.
a friend of mine in grade school was attacked by a german shephard and his face was fucking mangled. unprovoked pit bull attacks are not rare.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
I've been attacked by dogs three times in my life, and none of them had horrible owners. Dogs are indeed inherently dangerous. Of course I still love them and obviously don't expect all dogs to attack anyone, but to suggest they aren't inherently dangerous is preposterous. People are afraid of dogs who are wandering down the street off leash or without an owner for a good reason.HughFreakingDillon said:

Dogs are animals and animals are unpredictable. My Brittany spaniel growing up was the nicest dog ever. One time I got between him and his bone and he let out this growl I had never heard before. I actual saw anger in his eyes. That moment taught me to never trust any animal 100% of the time.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

100% agree. Hunted with that dog for 13 years until we had to put him down after he was diagnosed with cancer.PJPOWER said:

I feel there are many parallels between this debate and the gun control debate."My brain's a good brain!"0 -

A friend of mine lives up the street and has two pit bulls. I've been letting them out a couple times a week lately when she works late. Both are really sweet dogs. I'm sure a lot of it comes down to the owner and what type of environment the dog is raised in. Even still, as someone mentioned, dogs are still predators and their animal instincts can take over at any moment. I don't think this is exclusive to pit bulls, but I do think a lot of pit bulls owners raise them to be aggressive.Myself, I prefer smaller dogs. I just don't like 80lbs of dog jumping on me and trying to share my seat. I would never own a great dane, pit bull, boxer, german shephard, or even a lab for that matter. They're are just too damn big and cumbersome. Give me a Jack Russell, Sheltie, Basenji, Shiba Inu, or Whippet.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

Sounds like they're going to lock those kids in tight. Let's hope the next attack isn't with a gun, because the kids will no longer have an escape route off the playground, apparently! With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
