It would be so nice. I wore my Texas tshirt twice in San Fran and someone gave Ed a Texas flag at the first San Fran show. It isn't lost on them. They know the Texas fans are out there!!

I'm a lifetime Chicagoan, so we got a lot of PJ here (and the Wisconsin shows are close too). Chicago is a killer live music town, but this 1988 UT grad also thinks it's a crying shame for PJ not to play Austin, one of the greatest places on earth for music (or anything else)!

I'd be there in a heartbeat, but good luck. If the Erwin wasn't such a shithole, maybe they'd do it there, but....The Backyard? Granted, it'd be the sweetest PJ show(s) EVER, but a 5000 seat venue? No way. Unless it was the only TX date and they did three shows. Keep dreamin.

Granted it is unlikely...but not unheard of. The Santa Barbara Bowl only seats 4500.

A bit more history with SB, though. Don't mean to be Dudley Downer (I'd be just as happy as the rest of ya), just realistically isn't happening. I'd love a post-tour regional fan-club-only thing. This would be an ideal venue for that type of gig. Central TX, Live Music Capital...

  • Austin would be great. I would just hope it would be on a weekend. It would suck to have them play in Austin for the first time in a long time and not be able to go because of work. I tried to go to see them in Austin at South Park Meadow back in I think '94 but couldn't get tickets. Sadly SPM is now a shopping center. The Backyard would be sweet but it is way too small. I think the Erwin center would be fine.

A two night stand in Houston would be great too. Toyota Center would be a good change from The Woodlands Pavillion. Minute Maid Park could be pretty damn cool (just dreaming).
