the problem isnt really Ellie at school although that is an issue, but wee MAisy isnt at school yet so the person looking after them would need to be off work all day on a Monday and a Tuesday...

we know NOBODY with those days off apart from my mum-in-law who is retired and has had the kids every tuesday since birth!!!

If they announce T in The Park then we'll go to that and i'll sell my london tickets!! i thought it was on holiday for T in the Park but we dont leave until the Monday which is ok-ish!!

i'll be mightly fucked off though as i specifically asked 10club if there was a Scotland gig and they advised i purchase London as no other UK gigs we scheduled!!

did everyone else get tickets ok then? :D:)

Keithos is the only one who hasnt posted stating his position.... yay or nae!

  • Morning! Slept like a log. Will hopefully be able to finish early today!

Dunk that's awful, really hope you can make it but the kids are paramount.

Red-I'm game for European spares if there are any lurking about. Have we heard from everyone? Al, Don, Heather etc?

Is it me, or is $181 for a pair of tickets a bit of a rip off? That's like £45 a ticket. What does everyone else think?

    Hey folks!

Sorry for not posting yesterday - I had a band rehearsal from 7 till midnight!

So... after 2 hours of being unbelievably pissed off at the shambles of a server / ticket purchasing system, the realisation that I had to leave shortly to get to the recording studio sunk in... (or face the wrath of 4 angry band mates)... BUT LUCKILY... (like all good women do) my girlfriend stepped in and saved the day, spending 3 hours of her Monday night hitting that refresh button until she got me tickets! :D

I am slightly concerned, however, that now she has my credit card details and feels I owe her big time :|

Oh fuck off :D It's not that I don't join 10c, I just haven't! Anyway, it's just as stressful when someone else is doing it and you don't know what's going on

I didn't just sit back watching... it was worse than the last minute of a grand slam deciding rugby match against England when you're 2 points behind and you have a penalty  . Trust me :o

i genuinely think its morally and ethically repugnant that a band that 'fought' ticketmaster 10 years ago or so now charges £45 a ticket for their shows... genuinely sickened by the price...

but we all pay it and so why not charge us retards that kind of money???

a scottish guy on has had contact with a guy from DF prmotions who books bands for scottish gigs... he has said that PJ would be playing and then said "trust me on this"

plus there is an Irish thread saying virtually the same thing about an Irish promoter from MCD saying PJ would play Oxegen.. the 2 festivals now run as a sister=brother type of thing, and so its a huge co-incidence to come from 2 different sources such as this!!!

    but we'll see!!

    just read this earlier
In about 10 days Pearl Jam will be confirmed as the headline act at Oxegen in Ireland - trust me on this - heard it from a very very very well placed MCD person... apparently there are about 10 more shows to be announced on this tour by the way... this is an ad hoc european festival tour and London will also not be the only UK show....
The hold up in Ireland is that the band want to play Slane and the promoters can't do the gig until late August because of silly planning laws... hence, the Oxegen festival is the only alternative...

With all this speculation, I'm gonna leave you guys to take care of domestics. Friend coming over from Ireland for the week and I still have to clean!

    Later! :D
  • just read this earlier

Oh feck don't tell me theyre gonna play Oxegen now as well !! I don't think I can afford both - and obviously Oxegen would be cheaper for us -although no 10c tickets I take it??!!
I'm supposed to be moving house this year like!! Dammit!

i dont think they will headline Read/Leeds twice in a row.. its not "sellable" for the promoter... it's always a different headliner!

TITP is on 7th and 8th july... so PJ would need to play or rest for a whole week or so inbetween their last show on the 29th in Belgium

so dont know how this rumour pans out!! the other promoter is DF promotions in Scotland (not MCD as i said before) and they have an insider posting stuff on a general music forum... apparently he's never wrong

thats the very very very strong rumour....

i know what you mean... T In Park is about 1.5hours drive for me and would cost me a shitload less money...

    hmmmmm.... i'd do both though!
