Was on Xfm I think, at about 1am. They showed a clip on MTV (Not that I watch MTV or anything). He did however say 'the biggest band in the world are playing'. And the Arctic Monkeys and Bjork are headlining.

    U2.....? Radiohead?

I've just read that The Who are playing Glastonbury... I hope to hell that PJ arent playing it... and that Eavis is serious when he says that they are playing London the week before Glasto!

I dont want PJ in a festival scenario... selfish as that may be :o:o

Gotta be U2 for the 'biggest band in the world' statement methinks!
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Your boys can crash here too (that's 3 places taken)... any cute one for my daughter?

Probably the same that what was wrong with yours... boots.ini file was corrupted when I shut down at the wall. You got it fixed by taking your disk out and rebooting on another PC, I changed the BIOS to boot from cd, used the OS CD in recovery and fixed the file. So all is well..... :D

I heard about the Who as well..... wouldn't they qualify for biggest band in the world. They are legends.....

just reading BBC site and he 'apparently' said that the Who were playing but that they werent the 'biggest band in the world' that he meant

and quite rightly... i mean they are legends but they dont shift much in terms of sales... and i think that's what Eavis is hinting at... nobodies bigger than U2 i would say (sales & touring combined)

Maybe he's using a connotation; i.e. 'big' meaning lots of members? Like The Polyphonic Spree or the Doobie Brothers?!
