it was a mere blip on our route to league domination :)

I'm sure so, even more reason it was such a shock ;)

I think we are over-achieving at the moment, I'd take 4th and a play-off spot now definately!!! :D:D

he wont go... he's a stubborn and principled bloke... you turned him down once, he wont go back (same with the England job apparently)

also, Arse Stung Vanilla have just been taken over by a yankee billionaire... he could turn Villa into league champions, and then concentrate on Europe... thats a big challenge and he'll have the financial resources to do it now..

whereas National management is eeking out the best of the players you have... you cant buy a new striker, you're stuck with average players..

try and get Kenny Dalglish or someone.... Scottish managers tend to do so fucking well... for some unknown reason

anyone ever noticed that? also the top-jobs in the police and stuff normally have a scottish guy in charge... maybe its the accent
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    2. Have you seen the dvd/video 'three days' Dave? It's a documentary on Janes Addiction shot during a particularly druggie and manic period. It's brilliant. I can send you a copy if you like?

I saw them in 1988 supporting Fields of the nephilim at Brixton. I didn't know who they were and I was in the front row, dead centre. They blew me away. I then saw them at the Subterranea, and then at the Astoria, and I've since seen them twice at Brixton and once at the Town and country club. :D

juxtapose is quite an easy one i've always thought :o

i.e. the soft creamy white of the ice cream juxtaposed with the dark, bitterness of the chocolate sauce

    its a contrasty thing :)
