V... what a diplomatic way to tell Dave to GET THOSE PICS UP!!!!

There were pics taken at the party - must see if any are worth posting! I think it went well - the girls enjoyed it! Unfortunately, two of the 'invitees' were ill, so they ended up being only four of them though they made just as much noise! I do have fun doing all these things, but with Rob not being much help, it's too much work. Hopefully next year (sweet sixteen!) will be different and then after that, I'll just give her some money to go out with mates!

I had to clean too..

Setting up new PC - it's very nice but... problems getting G's laptop to 'network' (I think my modem is no good for Windows 7!). Also Windows 7 needs a bit of getting used to! I do wish I was a techie... all this would have been done in no time.....

well, I didn't even know such a thing as Windows 7 existed until a friend of mine got a new laptop and mentioned it. :?

my voice is nearly gone. it's gotten better during the day but earlier I could barely say 'Good morning' to miss cat. and of course I'm at work. though I think everyone's understood me quite nicely. at least I haven't been asked to repeat things.

Google it, see if anyone's got that make/model working with the new Windows... it's what we 'techie' people do... ;)

can't help more than that meself, don't have much to do with Windows systems and i haven't seen a Windows 7 machine yet, any that we have are still on XP.

Not much use the 'techie'!!! I would have rather waited a bit for Windows 7 but it's almost impossible to get a new computer without.... or they come with Vista but I really don't want Vista....

 I already googled to the max! Though it's true.. you find everything on the internet! My daughter has an HP laptop and one of the keys popped off. A bugger to get back on but she found a lil' video on youtube that showed her exactly what do to!

you still have to filter out all the total crap 'help' to find anything that might be useful. at least that's what i tell our lot here...

    fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!

i see it says the prize includes "accomodation (or camping passes if this is a festival date)"... i hope they don't do anything silly like only play festivals in this country (like 2006), or go and appear at Glastonbury (i see U2 have been lined up as Glasto's Friday-night headliners for next year)... just some nice PJ plus support shows would do me... ;)8-)

not that i'm fussy or owt...

I do hope it won't be all festies... though the 'OR camping....' may suggest it could be a bit of both. SURELY not Glasto... I don't have tix. VV would be happy though.. she always goes! **Thinks of getting G making loads of jewelly so we can get a stall at Glasto so we can go as traders***
