PJ at Reading

Ok, i've just watched the MTV interviews and Jeff said that they've never played a British festival before. a lot of the interviews and previews of Reading also say that this is their first festival in the UK...

Correct me if i'm wrong but when I saw Neil Young headline Reading in '95 on his Mirrorball tour Mike, Stone, Jeff and Jack Irons were his backing band, and Matt also played there with Soundgarden. So it's not PJ but everyone apart from Eddie as played Reading before.

Also Pearl Jam were special guests when Neil Young played an all day show at Finsbury Park a few years earlier, which was a massive show (as I'm sure FinsburyParkCarrots will attest!) so they're not completely alien to huge UK crowds.

I was at both of these shows (but fairly drunk at the time), please tell me that I'm not imagining this...!

    i was at finsbury park
    was also pissed
    but it happened
    fucking hot day if i remember right, dust was going everywhere, security handing/throwing bottled water to the crowd, people passing out etc
    like a book amongst the many on a shelf.......

    Thank God for that, all this talk of "their first big UK shows" had me getting paranoid! That's one show I'd love to get a bootleg of! What are the chances tho.... ;-)

    where d'you get it from? is it good quality? i don't think there's much of a chance of getting it from the vault cos there's way too many there for me to be lucky!

    aint listened to it in ages but was ok if i remember right

    I'm only going for the Sunday cos I'm skint but I'm planning to elbow my way to the front when all th little emo kids are watching My Chemical Romance so I can get a good spot!
