Pearl Jam in Lincoln, NE in Oct?

Local radio made mention of a Pearl Jam show at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, NE sometime in Oct. We'll see if this holds up.

Lincoln and Denver would make sense as dates in between the Austin shows

Hearing more rumors of this, it might just happen. October 9ish is the rumored date which works w/ the ACL dates.

Am I allowed to be happy about this even though I voted against the new Lincoln arena?

You bet. That's in the past now. A Pearl Jam concert is in our future.

I grew up in Denver, first PJ show was there in the early 90's and now live in Lincoln. To have caught about every Denver/Midwest show but now not only catching them again but in my current hometown of Lincoln as well as childhood home of Denver...after so many years is pretty damn cool to think about.

That'd be awesome. Until recently I lived in western Nebraska and visited Denver a lot (and flew out of there at a minimum of every other week). Now I live in eastern Nebraska and Lincoln is pretty much my weekend home. Either way if they play in Denver and/or Lincoln I'm going to both.

Petty is 10/1 so 10/8-9 isn't dead yet. I'd be surprised of we hear today though.

I wouldn't mind seeing an Ames, IA date! They did play there in 1991 with RHCP. :D

I hope you are right, assuming you aren't also a huge Miley Cyrus fan as well.

I had no idea there were so many PJ fans in Lincoln. Fortunately the area around the arena has a lot of good options for the pre party!

Agreed on the number of fans in Lincoln. If they come here I'll be so thankful if not I'll see them somewhere else anyway. The thought of walking to a PJ concert from my front door is mind blowing...

It's nice to see so many other fellow Lincolnites on here, I had no idea there were so many! It has been a long time since I've been able to sleep in my own bed after a PJ show, almost seems surreal. PBA has announced that they will announce another show this week, so hopefully its PJ. That Petty announcement this morning was kind of a kick to the nuts!

I didn't know about the number of fans in Lincoln either. The Haymarket/Railyard area is setup great for a show like this, especially w/ a lot of travelling fans. It's going to be one hell of a party....so announce it already! @-)
