The original Vs release still sounds the best. It was like hearing the real Pearl Jam for the first time. Ten is great, love it always will. But it sounded like the band recorded it in the Bat Cave.

I like Vs. and Vitalogy on vinyl - the first presses.

    Compression.
I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.

Why not just master the record for vinyl without the compression? The master 'plates' are somewhere right? Just repress it all with those plates, don't mess with the mixes/mastering any further. Hope they don't mess with the near sonic perfection of No Code and Yield on the reissues.

  • Never would've thought PJ would ever fall victim to sounding over-produced, but... (LB I'm looking at you.)
