obama protest in La Jolla Ca.

I'm sure you all have seen it on the news (CBS 8) and yes I was there but to protest the fast track of TPP or "trans pacific partnership" and the out sourcing of American jobs and after the first hour I put my sign down and walked around and talked to people on both side of many issues and even talked very briefly to a CIA agent and we both laughed at how mixed up the crowd was,the impeach obama crowd was the loudest and as obama's motorcade passed by I coud see him enough thru the tinted windows looking straight ahead and not even paying attention to the signs and banners that littered the street sides(I was holding one at that point) and it occured to me that he don't give a shit about any of this stuff going on because he was on his way to ask for money from the man who own's qualcom stadium and have lunch in his home,I also realized as I looked around at the very wealthy people standing in front of their homes (some laughing at us) that even people in the same party are divided... and that is by money, I noticed all the protesters and supporters alike seemed to be working class heros who took a day off work to be there just as I did and a hand full old hippies and young wanna be hippies that just seem to be there because it's the hippy protester way, but anyway it was a cool experiance but I doubt I'll ever do it again because I didn't feel anything was accomplished.

Of course it's the middle class protesting. They are the ones being threatened.... but their protests are aimed in the wrong direction. It's the capitalist free market system that is dooming the working middle class, not Obama.

It's inflation that is destroying the middle class, plus the policies of the federal reserve and the endless printing of the dollar.

Somehow I think the "rich get richer" and "the poor get poorer" are also part of the scenario... and I don't think that's pure coincidence or just the "chips falling where they may".

in any case it was cool experiance, I talked to home owner a man named Preston who was 90 years old and talked about his business (building pump trucks) and how before he retired the government had closed his plant,he employed 400+ people and the government after many years of business forced him out and the property and plant are still there and used for nothing...just rotting away for the last 30 years or so.

did you ask him if he was bought out??

or did you just go along with his story since it fits your views?

serious question, because sometimes people are bought out when they do not want to sell....

Haven't looked at latest numbers but even with Us printing money inflation seems to be in check.

no I didn't ask him that,he said forced out out of business and I didn't ask why, we had talked about his life a little, he had been drafted twice (WWII and Korea) and even contacted for Vietnam but he said no,he also told me about his business and what he and his brother produced, pump trucks..at that time in the states pump trucks were around but not very reliable but in Europ while serving in the Army he had noticed that the pump where far advanced compared to the US so he and his brother (after the war) ordered pumping tanks from Europ and mounting them on US trucks and quickly became very busy selling these pump trucks.

I didn't question his stories, just talking to this man was a cool experiance and one of thing's that really stood out for me was that shortly after we started talking his wife showes up and was reaching for his hand then looked around at all that was happening and never said a word...not even when I said "good morning Mam" . she seems scared of everything that was happening right in her drive way.

meeting Preston was the best part of that rally for me.
